Most units of the Basic through Advanced Industrial Maintenance programs are available at the Millington Center. 

In August 2014 Millington began operations for its municipal school district. With an enrollment of approximately 2,200 students, this locally operated district is one of the centerpieces of civic life in Millington. There are numerous public and private intuitions of higher education and industrial training options in Millington and in the immediate MSA. The University of Memphis has a branch campus in Millington. The facility is shared by Southwest Tennessee Community College (SWTCC).  SWTCC has aggressively pursued innovative programs to ensure that its students receive current industrial related training. SWTCC has been the recent recipient of over ten million dollars of grants from the US Department of Labor. These grants are targeted to provide training in high wage and high skill occupations. Manufacturing skills and transportation and logistics training are keystones of these programs.  Millington’s Naval Support Activity, Mid South base has branches of the University of Arkansas, Southern Illinois State University, Park University and Webster University. These schools serve the military as well as the local civilian population. Other higher education options are available through Rhodes College and Christian Brothers University. Technical training is available through the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, William Moore College of Technology, Mid South Community College and Vatterott Career College among others.  Commercial Drivers License Training is provided by Swift Transportation in Memphis and Road Master in Millington. Crew Training International has a pilot training school in Millington.
