Incentives & Taxes

The City of Millington and the Millington Industrial Development Board have an established PILOT program. This program can reduce real and personal property taxes for Millington and Shelby County for new and expanding industry. New jobs and new capital investment are two of the triggers for entry into the PILOT program. A recent PILOT was completed for Ingram Micro, which was later transferred to CEVA Logistics.

Millington also has experience with creating Tax-Increment Financing Districts. The Shoppes of Millington Farms was a successful TIF in 2017.  A shopping center of 135,000 square feet was assisted by this TIF. Other TIF projects approved include Millington Farms, Astoria Square, and Forked River Commons. We also work with new and expanding companies to secure infrastructure grants.
